Course Description :
The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts.
Intended Audience :
This course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units
Format : Intructor Led Training (ILT)
This course includes Precourse Work / Precourse Self-Assessment that must be completed prior to your schdeduled class. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a separate email from the AHA with instructions on how to complete the precourse assignment.
The AHA PALS Provider Manual is needed to complete the Precourse Work & Assessment. If you do not have a copy, you can purchase an eBook below. Printed manuals are available in the classroom.
Class Length : Approximately 4-5 hours for the Precourse Work & Precourse Self-Assessment, 2-3 hours for the classroom skills session
