The AHA BLS Renewal Course is for individuals who have a current BLS Provider Card, or whose card has expired within 30 days of the scheduled class. You will be required to send a copy of your card prior to the class. If you have lost access to your eCard, we can help! Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your eCard. 

Course Description :

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Intended Audience :

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Course Description :

The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Intended Audience :

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response. Typical students include paramedics, nurses, and physicians.

Format : Intructor Led Training (ILT)

This course includes Precourse Work / Precourse Self-Assessment that must be completed prior to your schdeduled class. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a separate email from the AHA with instructions on how to complete the precourse assignment.

The AHA ACLS Provider Manual is needed to complete the Precourse Work & Assessment. If you do not have a copy, you can purchase an eBook below. Printed manuals are available in the classroom.

Class Length : Approximately 4-5 hours for the Precourse Work & Precourse Self-Assessment, 2-3 hours for the classroom skills session

Course Description :

The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts.

Intended Audience :

This course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units

Format : Intructor Led Training (ILT)

Course Description:

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. This course covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR AED.

This includes an option to take STOP THE BLEED after completion of the CPR class. (Approx. 1.5 hours)

*This course does not include First Aid

Certification: 2 years, eCard will be emailed within 1 business day.

Format: Instructor-Led Training (ILT) in a classroom setting.

Class Length : 3 hours

The Heartsaver Total course path of the Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by one of our Instructors. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session, will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver Total First Aid CPR AED provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. This a comprehensive course path is designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

This course covers Adult First Aid, and Adult, Child, and Infant CPR AED.

Format: Blended Learning - Online Coursework + In-Person Skills

Class Length: Online Coursework: Self-Paced, approximately 3 hours. Hands-On Skills Session: Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours

The ACLS Instructor Essentials Course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach AHA Instructor-led and blended learning ACLS Provider courses. It educates instructor candidates on how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. The course covers core content and discipline-specific content required to teach AHA courses.

Prerequisites

Instructor Candidates must hold a current and unexpired AHA ACLS Provider card.

Steps to Become a ACLS Instructor

  1. Complete the ACLS Instructor Essentials Online course
    You will receive a link to access the course upon registering for the course. You will receive additional instructions on how to submit your completion certificate prior to the classroom portion.

  2. Complete the classroom portion of the course
    Approximately a 9-hour class at our office that expands upon the online course to prepare you as an instructor. Instructor Candidates must bring their Instructor Manual to class.

  3. Successfully be monitored teaching
    Instructor Candidates must have one person come to the class on Day 2 as a student. Instructor Candidates will teach an ACLS Provider course to the students as the final step in the certification process. Attending students will receive an ACLS Provider card at no cost.

Upon completion of the three steps above, your instructor card will be issued and you will be aligned with our AHA Training Center.

Price

The cost of the course ($350) includes the classroom portion, monitored teaching at our office, Instructor eCard, and Instructor Alignment through Response Ready. Instructor Essentials Online ($40) and the instructor manual ($65) are both required for this course. If you have received Instructor Essentials Online already, you can select 'No' for the items you have and continue your registration.
